Who We Are

Auxiliary and Business Services (A&BS) is an umbrella organization for ten non-academic support units. We are one of the largest units of Penn State¹s Finance & Business. From the dining commons to the airport, a hotel, and a 16,000-seat arena that hosts sports, music, and entertainment events, A&BS provides essential services to students, faculty, staff, and the public.

The Accounting and Business Operations team is a centralized financial department comprised of professionals who direct the financial transactions for the many units that comprise Auxiliary and Business Services (A&BS).    

Bryce Jordan Center

The 16,000 seat Bryce Jordan Center, located on the campus of the Pennsylvania State University, is centrally located within the state of Pennsylvania and the only entertainment facility of its size in the region.

Campus Dining is one of the largest university food service operations in the country, purchasing over $40 million in goods each year and serving approximately 1.4 million meals each semester.

Culinary Support Services is made up of the Office of the Corporate Executive Chef, Office of the Registered Dietitian, Foods Warehouse, and Penn State Bakery.

We are the University's exclusive provider of office and janitorial supplies as well as cylinder gases. General Stores has teamed with Office Depot to offer you superior office products, furniture, and technology products at sensible prices.

Olive oil and herbs

Penn State Housing and Food Services Purchasing procures all food and related items for all University Park, and eight commonwealth campuses throughout the state that incorporate multiple venues and operation types.

Housing Operations is one of the largest college housing operations in the nation with 52 residence halls, 6 commons buildings, and 359 apartments at University Park with over 300 full- and part-time staff.

The id+ Office oversees the id+ card, mobile id+ card, cards for camps and conferences, as well as the LionCash program.

Technology

The Auxiliary and Business Services Information Systems team will be Penn State’s preeminent department in providing and supporting applications and related technology infrastructure.

Lion Surplus is a public store that repurposes all University-owned equipment through sales, bids, and auctions. The store is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
